In 2019, a big band from Berlin travels to Mali with the mission to breathe new life into the music of the 1970s, which embodied the hope of Malian independence and made the West African cultural scene shine. The German musicians of the Omniversal Earkestra meet the icons of the legendary Rail Band. This exciting road movie reveals the different approaches of the musicians including cultural misunderstandings and finally the discovery of a new common rhythm.
