Born in Tunis, of Sicilian origin. Lived in Marseille, then in Aix en Provence, where she studied and taught Philosophy for one year in Aix en Provence. Left to work in Paris as a journalist (AFP, le Monde, etc.) Worked in Opera in France and Italy; then in films, in Italy, with Ermanno OLMI. Back in Paris, she worked as a Programme Counsellor at France 3 TV, and she started to write and direct documentaries, principally on artists' internal exile and emigration'exile, her own story.
