JB Kyabaggu as is commonly known aka JB is a Producer/ Arts Manager with a Honors Bachelors degree I Drama from Makerere University and Higher degree Africa Development Studies from the UK. JB is a rich and experienced talent in script writing, directing and acting. His writing crdit includes among others, Waiting for My Tractor-2007, while his directing credit includes: John Ruganda's The Black Mamba-2006, Ngugi Wa Thiongos, I will Marry When I Want-2007, George Serembe's Come Good Rain-2007, and Erik Ehn's Maria Kizito-2008.
JB has served on a number of editorial boards of arts magazines such as the Uganda Theatre Network Gazette AND Stage Uganda. He was the Production Manager of the East African Premier of Sonke C Weiss' play- Butterflies of Uganda-2008, He was also the Consultant with the British Council Uganda, Managing the Creative Lives Art-WAPI. He served as the Production Manager for the Uganda National Theatre and Cultural Centre and PRO/Marketing Theatre Factory.
He producer Cooking Oil by Uganda BBC Radio Playwriting competition winner 2010, Deborah Assimwe and Maria Kizito by Erik Ehn.
JB is also the Winner of the Best Voice Actor- English Language and Overall Best Actor Listner's Choice both 2008 in the acclaimed Uganda radio drama Rock point 256. While working with a Radio Drama project- ROCK POINT 256- an HIV/AIDS awareness and behavioral change campaign run by The Straight Talk Foundation and CDFU, he wa lead character voice; character name- DON GUMA. The radio drama series airs on KFM, Sanyu FM, and over four other regional FM stations.
In 2012 he was Silent Voices's Publicist/Advocacy Specialist.
