Quand il a vu pour la première fois Davy Sicard sur scène, Yvan Couvidat a immédiatement ressenti le besoin d'en savoir plus. Il s'est donc envolé pour l'île de La Réunion et y a découvert un homme et une musique, le Maloya. Cette musique héritée des esclaves revit et David le vit comme un combat.
