Gentille M. ASSIH is a writer-director of Togolese origin, born on 2 April 1979. Very early on, she was fascinated by cinema and trained as a computer graphics technician and photo director in 2001. Afterwards, she learnt writing and directing of creative documentary films with Africadoc, in 2006, in St Louis, Senegal. At the same time, she did a BTS in communication (at the African Institute of Commercial Studies). And in 2009, she obtained a degree in Human Resources Management.
For two years, Gentille worked in a communication agency before creating WORLD FILMS. In 2009, she directed her first documentary film entitled ITCHOMBI produced by Ardèche images production. The same year, she produced and directed the short fiction film: BIDENAM, l'espoir d'un village (Hope for a Village), made with the support of the Goethe Institute of Johannesburg. She is currently preparing her future feature documentary, the provisional title of which is le rite, la folle et moi.
