Après le siège israélien en 1982, Jocelyne Saab a été la seule cinéaste autorisée à monter sur le bateau Atlantis, affrété par la France pour emmener Yasser Arafat, le chef charismatique des Palestiniens et son Q.G. vers un nouvel exil. Pendant quarante huit heures, elle va filmer ce moment historique unique.
