Dans le cabinet de Georges Federmann, psychiatre atypique, consultent des patients français et étrangers. Originaires du quartier, du village voisin ou d'un autre continent, Diane, Gilbert, Karim ou encore Claudine viennent confier ici leur histoire. Pour certains il s'agit de trouver un refuge, une oreille attentive, pour d'autres c'est l'envie de vivre qu'il faut préserver.
