Director of the African Film Library of Ouagadougou, Responsible for selecting and programming films at FESPACO (Pan-African Film & TV Festival of Ouagadougou). Ardiouma Soma is a graduate of the African Institute for Film Education (INAFEC) from the University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. He also studied at the Teaching and Research Unit (UER) for Arts and Archaeology from the University of Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne, France. Ardiouma Soma started his career as a journalist reporter at the national television for a short while, before joining FESPACO. Since 1988, he is responsible for coordinating film selection at FESPACO (393 films were presented during the 21st edition in 2009). Ardiouma Soma took an active part in the establishment of the African Film Library of Ouagadougou, opened in 1995.

Nach Abschluss seiner Studien am African Institute for Film Education (INAFEC) der Universität Ouagadougou und an der Sorbonne in Paris begann Ardiouma Soma als Reporter beim nationalen Fernsehen. Kurz danach fing er beim FESPACO an. Seit 1988 koordiniert er die Filmauswahl beim FESPACO (393 Filme wurden bei der 21. Ausgabe 2009 gezeigt). Ardiouma Soma war bei der Gründung der African Film Library in Ouagadougou, die 1995 eröffnet wurde, aktiv beteiligt.
