Young Egyptian photographer and Director of photography, graduated from the institute of fine arts in Cairo. As well as holding photography exhibitions, Tarek has worked on several independent films as a director of photography, most notably "Microphone" (directed by Ahmad Abdalla, 2010).

Tarek Hefny is an Egyptian photographer based in Cairo. He got his bachelor degree with honors in painting from the faculty of fine arts Helwan university 2005.

He participated in several group exhibition showing his work in both painting & photography. It was after his graduation that he started his own business as a commercial photographer, and now established himself as one of the rising names in advertising in Egypt.

His personal art projects take a different path than his commercial work, he focuses mainly on the modern urban life and its effects on the city. immersed in the intense life in cairo all his life most of his work revolve around the relation between man & the place he lives in. His current work tries to develop a new technique to understand the city around us through analyzing the urban textures.
