City of Dust is having its world premiere at the National Theatre in Kampala. Please come and support the Ugandan film industry as we celebrate the release of City of Dust.

Shot in Uganda, CITY OF DUST is a film from director/producer Young G. Kim and associate producer Carlos George Ombonya. Kim directed and co-produced with Ombonya the short film KINYERA'S DREAM which premiered at Amakula Film Festival in 2009.

CITY OF DUST is a visually stunning and emotionally moving story that delves into the life of Mugisha, a con-man living in the slums of Kibuli in Uganda. He is visited by his long lost brother, who brings home a lot of uncertainty and a plastic bag full of cash. In a couple of days, the life of Mugisha and his relationships are changed forever due to the money. A portrait of human ambition, CITY OF DUST is a film about one man in a city full of new and lost dreams.

Tickets are 15,000 for regular admission and 50,000 for VIP. They will be available starting October 23rd at the National Theatre box office or please message us at the City of Dust Facebook page for tickets.

The event is being presented in partnership with Film Club Uganda, the Uganda National Cultural Centre and the AFRICA INSTITUTE OF MUSIC.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit KihefoYouth Media and Cultural Center KYMCC.
