Probably it was raining when three Jazz musicians came together in Hamburg and founded Cnirbs. But it didn´t harm their music, on the contrary: They want to "contribute to the musical amusement of humanity".

Cnirbs, these are the keyboarder and composer of the trio, Matthäus Winnitzki, percussionist (drummer) Konrad Ullrich and Stephan Meinburg, who provides sounds and tones from trumpet and euphonium.

Although all three "Cnirbse" are best skilled on their instruments, they cross the boarders of Jazz with their wild rhythms constantly. So you can hear appeals of alternative rock music, but also electronic elements and influences of African and Caribbean music.

Now they are touring with their new album Hey Kollege through seven African countries, and in collaboration with the Goethe-Zentrum Kampala/Ugandan German Cultural Society they will also be performing in Kampala. On site they will put their heads together with the Ugandan musicians Joel Sebunjo and Lawrence Okello – the outcome will be staged at the National Theatre Auditorium.
