Pierre-Yves Ginet dedicated his work to women who stand up against injustice in the mordern world. Between 2001 and 2006 he travelled to 17 countries to potrait women who write our history, each one of them in her own way. Whichever form thier actions take, all these women are working towards one single goal: a better future for the generations to come.

The exhibition gives a balance view of all continenets, religion, and social backgrounds. The stories told are those of real women, reavealing unknown leaders and role models, thier ideals and personalities.

The exhibition 'Women in Resistance' is brought to you by Alliance francaise de Kampala, the Embassy of France in Uganda and UN Women.
