Tsofa recalls the sad story of 34 young Congolese, hired as taxi drivers in Bucharest, the capital of Rumania. Victor, Christian, Papa Lambert and the others were recruited in Kinshasa in 2008 to go and work in Rumania. They were promised good salaries, good working conditions. Once they were in Bucharest, the dream turned into a nightmare, first, they were exploited, then their contracts were cancelled. A new ordeal was awaiting them : their staying in Rumania had become illegal. Those who had not been expelled fought to stay and become integrated in Rumania, facing a new reality. For the others, returning back home had a bitter taste.
