Golden Pillar Industry is a group of young amateur filmmakers based in Lira District, in the northern region of Uganda. They are among the most prolific film production enterprises subsisting outside of Kampala city. They are a film acting group of a talented youth brought together by a common background to use film as a tool to tackle the effects of war, poverty, ignorance and HIV/AIDS on the people in Northern Uganda. They are determined to promote and protect human rights, improving the lives of vulnerable groups, reducing crime rates, creating social stability, peace, unity and cooperation, and sensitization of people about HIV / AIDS using films as our major tool. In other words, they are a film production group with an advocacy mission, although they have since recently been focussing on film art as a means of expressing their talents.
