Andrew Lwanga Ssebaggala Jedidiah is an emergent Ugandan Arts Entrepreneur, Creative Arts Manager, Singer and Storyteller. He has done a lot of research on the culture and art in Uganda. He has had a solid experience story telling performing for school audiences around Kampala and had opportunities to perform to Performing Arts students at the University of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (2007) and Makerere University (2009). He has performed the Amakula Kampala International Film Festival (2009) at the Uganda National Theatre and Cultural Centre and for a number of organization and during the Sigane Moto Moto Storytelling Festival in Nairobi Kenya.
Andrew Ssebaggala holds a Diploma in Performance Arts i.e Music, Dance and Drama, Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management and currently he is pursuing his Post graduate studies in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing at Makerere University with a bias on creative arts business. He works very closely with the Ministry of Gender, Laour and Social Development that is in charge of Cultural Affairs in Uganda, the Performing Arts and Film Department-Makereree University and the Uganda National Cultural Centre. He is a long time arts and culture management professional apart from being an Actor, Singer, and Theatre Director/Creator for the last 10 years. He has worked as an Executive Officer for the Eastern Africa Theatre Institute-Uganda National Chapter where he managed 3 Sida (Swedish International Development Agency) funded Artistic Projects- Dramatool, PACSEA and EATI. He has organized and led Ugandan artists that represented the Country in Theatre Festivals in Bagamoyo, Tanzania (2006), Addis ababa, Ethiopia,(2008), Swedish Storytelling Festival, Gothenburg, Sweden (2007), organized a number of Capacity building and Skills training workshop for Uganda performing artists who work with communities given that not so many artists have the opportunity to go for advanced studies in arts, many depend on their talents.
He has worked with a number of radio stations given their creativity nature and business sense when it comes to marketing and managing creatively talented people. Andrew has managed Umoja-The cultural flying carpet in Uganda, a Norwegian Project. He has also supported in the management of NUVO arts Festival in 2013.
Currently he is the Co-Producer and Production Manager of Alfajiri Production that will later this year produce  Silent Voices again theatrical play that voices the voices of the voiceless written by a prominent playwright  Judith Lucy Adong.
Besides being a performer and facilitator, he is experienced in designing and management of both artistic/ cultural programs and performing artists. As a performing arts entrepreneur; he is an extrovert, creative, innovative, entrepreneurial, works effectively with minimal supervision and committed to self-sufficiency and self-reliance. He is endowed with communication and interpersonal skills, leadership skills and a team player.
Because of his entrepreneurial and charismatic nature, Andrew has managed to bring together a group of committed young talented artists to support him in attaining this creative and artistic vision of establishing and running a professional arts company in Uganda. Indeed the arts company has been established in the names of House of talent East Africa since 2010 and now the struggle is to turn it around to be a professional model in the arts industry not only in Uganda but also in East Africa.
With his steadfast growing talent in arts management, Andrew seeks to deepen human understanding by the nurturing of creativity, the preservation of our living cultural heritage and the transfer of cultural assets and values from one generation to another through expressive cultural arts-like storytelling, dance and musical performance that epitomize his company." It is not surprising, his philosophy of life is very simple: "To strive to make the world a better place by diligently applying myself to the tasks and challenges at hand" and he is doing this through creative cultural arts!
