Anthropologist and journalist, Brice Ahounou, is in charge of the "Mercredis du film ethnographique" that he animates at the Musée de l'Homme, in the wake of Jean Rouch, of whom he was, for seventeen years, the assistant and with whom he shares an interest in the study of spirit possession cults. After having conducted research on Vodou and the power of the imaginary in West Africa and the Caribbean, he continues to investigate in the observation field opened by the pioneer of visual anthropology among the Songhay people - a fieldwork where gods and men of the Niger River interact in front of the camera.
