Cameroonian film director, screenwriter and editor.

Jules TAKAM is a film director, screenwriter and editor.
He is known for "L'Attente" (1972, Director), "L'Appât du gain" (1979, Director) et "Le Cercle des Pouvoirs" (1997, Director).

Born in 1941 in Bamendjou (Cameroon), Jules Takam studied film at the Conservatoire Libre du Cinéma Français in Paris and worked as a film editor. He directed a short film "L'Attente" (1972), then came his first feature film "L'Appât du gain" (1979). In 1987 he wrote an original script, "N'Deussa", which he developed later with the help of Daniel Kamwa under a new title, "Le Cercle des Pouvoirs" (1997).

He died on the 9th March 2023 in Paris.
