Kareyce Fotso was born on February 1, 1979 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Coming from a Bamileke family (Bandjoun) in Yaoundé, her first languages are Ewondo, the language of the neighborhood, and Ghomalaʼ, the language of her relatives. Educated in the middle of a cultural mix where multiple Cameroonian and Central African ethnic groups mix, she defines herself as culturally mixed.
She is a graduate in biochemistry (University of Yaoundé I), she also holds a Bachelor in Audiovisual and photography (Institut Siantou Supérieur, Cameroon).
