Les frères Matar et Ghanim vivent dans le grand désert de l'Arabie saoudite. Lorsque la tragédie frappe, le jeune Matar se met à la course de chameaux afin de garder son chameau Hofira. Après avoir été embauché par l'impitoyable propriétaire Jasser, Matar doit tout se battre pour la vie de Hofira alors qu'il quitte le monde de l'enfance vers celui des adultes.
